Influence on the first charge capacity of layered Li-Mn-O-based electrodes by combining stoichiometric and nonstoichiometric materials

摘要: By forming electrodes consisting of a (1:1) mixture stoichiometric to nonstoichiometric layered lithium manganese oxides with the 03 structure, illustrated specifically by combining LiMnO 2 and Li 0 . 5 7 Mn 8 Co 3 O , it is possible obtain 4% higher charge than discharge capacity on first cycle, at rate C/8 voltage limits 2.4-4.6 V. A (2:1) (stoichiometric:nonstoichiometric) exhibits an excess 24% under same conditions. Both ratios show very similar charge/discharge profiles subsequent cycles. The fade rates cycle number are greater for material alone. approach, managaese can be extended any wide range x y compounds, whether or not doped other ions.
