摘要: Light absorption or fluorescence excitation spectroscopy of alkali atoms attached to 4He droplets is investigated as a possible way for detecting the presence vortices. To this end, we have calculated equilibrium configuration and energetics 4He1000 droplet hosting vortex line using density functional theory. We use them study how dipole spectrum atom modified when impurity line. Spectra are found be blue-shifted (higher frequencies) broadened compared vortex-free because dimple in which sits at intersection surface deeper. This effect smaller lighter all more so quantum description since, case, they sit further away from on average due their zero-point motion. Spectral modifications minor np ← ns therefore insufficient detection. In case higher n′ p s (n′ > n) excitations, shifts larger excited state orbital extended sensitive changes surrounding helium density.
