LOCALIZATION OF ENDOTHELIAL NOS AT THE BASAL MICROTUBULE MEMBRANE IN CILIATED EPITHELIUM OF RAT LUNG

摘要: Nitric oxide (NO), an important cell messenger molecule, is formed endogenously in the lung airway. Three individual genes of NO synthase (NOS), which represent brain NOS (bNOS), inducible (iNOS), and endothelial (eNOS), have been reported cultured epithelium. Although studies vivo showed that bNOS iNOS were expressed localized cytoplasm bronchial epithelium, expression localization eNOS remains to be determined. Therefore, we employed monoclonal antibody whose immunospecificity was tested by both Western blot preadsorption immunohistochemistry immunostain rat lungs from fetus adult. The results immunoreactivity began appear epithelium within 2 hr after birth. Six hours later (8 birth), immunoreaction concentrated near surface ciliated epithelial cells.
