摘要: Despite active research, many fundamental aspects of block copolymer ordering remain unresolved. We studied the thickness-dependence grain coarsening kinetics, and find that thinner films order more rapidly than thicker films. Bilayer films, or monolayers with partial layers islands, slowly because greater amount material must rearrange in a coordinated fashion. Sub-monolayer much monolayers, exhibiting considerably smaller activation energies, as well larger exponents for time-growth power-law. Using molecular dynamics simulations, we directly study motion defects these film regimes. attribute enhanced growth sub-monolayers to boundaries, where can be spontaneously eliminated. The boundaries thus act efficient sinks morphological defects, pointing towards methods engineering rapid self-assembling thin
