摘要: We study the impact of horizontal cloud variability on intercomparison surface‐ and satellite‐based observations. In particular we compare LWP retrieved by geostationary MSG‐2 SEVIRI sensor to ground‐based MW radiometers. This is based both synthetic cloudfields that allow accurate analysis various error sources comparison real radiometer provide evidence shows errors introduced are larger than satellite retrieval errors.
