Anticipatory grief: Its nature, impact, and reasons for contradictory findings

摘要: A review of the published research literature that examined consequences anticipatory grief on post-death bereavement adjustment, found conflicting results. An analysis suggested conceptualisation matters, lack a precise and consistent operational definition, along with number methodological issues were main reasons for inconsistent contradictory findings. Until these concerns are adequately addressed to coherently meaningfully capture impact an understanding phenomenon is likely be limited, could affect nature type interventions considered by mental health practitioners in this field.
