Ballistic Impact Resistance of Multi-Layer Textile Fabrics

摘要: Abstract : Experimental and theoretical work on the transverse ballistic impact of Kevlar nylon fabrics is presented in two parts. Part I an experimental investigation into (a) relation between multi-layer single layer impact; (b) effect fabric finishes; (c) weave. A simple model together with data showed that inter-layer effects are second order. High friction finishes bonding agents were found to be detrimental performance Kevlar.
