摘要: Seventeen postoperative total knee arthroplasty (TKA) patients were evaluated using two tests of joint position sense. Young controls and age-matched underwent identical tests. The TKA also gait analysis, including foot switch stride clinical evaluation a standard scoring system. Results showed statistically significant decreases in sense from young to old controls, further with disease; however, no worsening was noted as result TKA. abnormal parameters seen correlated well score. Strongest correlations when combined proprioceptive score compared parameters. In spite alleviation pain correction deformity, normal function are not typically achieved after replacement. Irreversible loss due the disease process may be major factor discrepancy between functional outcomes arthroplasty. Furthermore, proprioception resulting patterns place increased stress on components contribute loosening. addition, an association degenerative decline is suggested.
