摘要: Two opposing approaches to model complexity exemplified by models developed for shallow flow-through lakes in the German Democratic Republic (GDR) and reservoirs Czechoslovakia are demonstrated: detailed realistic with many variables simple but more general models, respectively. The advantages disadvantages of two directions respect solving water quality problems theoretical predictions specified future modelling outlined. To overcome shortcomings present methodology, approaches, thermodynamic cybernetic (control theoretic), presented. In addition, an attempt combine both profound understanding aquatic ecosystem processes is included.
