摘要: Vasoactive intestinal polypeptide (VIP) has emerged as a possible candidate for nonadrenergic, noncholinergic inhibitory neurotransmitter in penile erection. In this study, the effect of VIP and its relationship to adrenergic cholinergic mechanisms were examined using isolated corpus cavernosal strips from rabbit penis. The mechanism action on corporal relaxation was investigated with respect activation cyclic GMP mobilization calcium potassium ions. caused dose-dependent strip. Pretreatment had no contraction induced by norepinephrine, phenylephrine, clonidine. synergistic produced acetylcholine or isoproterenol. Neither atropine nor propranolol any blocking VIP-induced relaxation. Methylene blue decreased KCl at either 20 80 mM. calcium-free high-potassium physiologic salt solution, inhibited calcium-induced contraction. These results suggests that is not mediated through classical neurotransmission strips, but may exert GMP, which be associated, part, inhibition influx.
