摘要: Understanding the impact of a condition from patient's perspective is important, and different types patient-reported outcomes or instruments are available to help with this. This review article summarises current evidence on diabetic retinopathy (DR) its associated vision impairment outcomes. We have included research that has used range outcome measures assess DR generic health-related quality life, utility, vision-functioning vision-specific life. also offers clarification frequently misused psychometric terminologies clinicians researchers better understand literature research. Overall, suggests DR, particularly in vision-threatening stages, substantial, negative patient. However, our understanding currently restricted due limitations inherent measures. conclude by discussing potential directions for future this area, such as item banking computer adaptive testing.
