摘要: Exercise promotes glucose clearance by increasing skeletal muscle GLUT4-mediated uptake. Importantly, exercise upregulates GLUT4 expression in an insulin-independent manner under conditions of insulin resistance, such as with type 2 diabetes. However, the mechanism responsible for rescued is poorly understood. We used voluntary wheel running (VWR) mice to test prevailing hypothesis that upregulation protein through increased Glut4 transcription. demonstrate 4 weeks VWR obese high-fat diet-induced decreased and improved both fasting plasma hepatic triacylglyceride levels, but did not rescue mRNA. Persistent reduction mRNA suggests a posttranscriptional regulated response lean mice. Reduction sedentary animals upon treatment rapamycin revealed mTORC1-dependent regulation. no difference was observed VWR-exercised treated either or Torin 1, indicating exercise-dependent regulation on mTOR independent. The findings provide new insight into mechanisms muscle.
