摘要: Single point incremental forming, SPIF, is a forming process that hasa great potential application in sheet metal industries. SPIF capableof producing medium size batches of complex shapes with low costas it requires no die. This study explores the potentials integratingcomputer aided manufacturing, CAM, and finite element analysis, FEA,to obtain virtual model realistically simulates process. The simulation has been carried out using LS-Dyna4.3©software while circular rectangular taper pockets ona blank made AL6061. The tool path generated aCAM software imported to CNC machine execute SPIFprocess, taking into consideration main parameters: thefeed rate step size. results both simulationand experiment are presented against each other terms thicknessreduction, spring back, cross-sectional profile, they provedto be close within an accepted range. obtained thisthe believed useful for performing optimization analysisto decide optimum parameters thought affect theSPIF process.
