摘要: Abstract The Eirik Drift lies on the slope and rise off southern tip of Greenland margin where it formed under influence North Atlantic deep western boundary current. drift contains a semi-continuous often expanded sedimentary record ranging from Early Eocene to Holocene so bottom current strengths over decadal millennial time scales. These variations in strength can be related changes thermohaline circulation climate. body is composed four seismic sequences, with number internal discontinuities, reflecting variety palaeoceanographic events. Three secondary ridges are observed trending NW main ridge crest. presence these ridges, which have been active since Pliocene, suggests that separates into three strands as crosses Drift, each strand depositing separate ridge. Variation degree lateral migration within Late Pliocene sequence between reflects local variation angle formed. Cyclicity reflector amplitude Pleistocene could reflect carbonate accumulation linked glacial-interglacial variations.
