摘要: Abstract The present article introduces some novel patterns of internal blades as the stiffener into thin-walled square aluminum sections to enhance energy absorption behavior reinforced structures under lateral loading by experimental methods. To prepare specimens, a columns made with external cross-sectional dimensions 34.4 mm×34.4 mm were prepared and cut constant nominal length 40 mm. Then, thickness 1.25 mm after shaping process, formed positioned specimens point-welding. manufactured between two rigid platens quasi-static load was performed on samples laterally compressed in flattening process. Furthermore, simple specimen without any used test its capacity specific absorbed measured benchmark. experiments show that reinforcing section blades, new structure is achieved can absorb kinetic up 2.99 times In addition, according results, it found energy/mass ratio best 1.92
