摘要: Several methods have been used to remove nectar from banksia inflorescences measure amounts of energy available, but these poorly described in the literature. Each method has advantages and disadvantages with respect proportion removed time taken nectar. Power-driven aspirators probably most nectar, followed by syringes capillary tubes. However, it often takes more than 20 min sample an inflorescence using methods. Centrifuging placing them plastic bags swinging hand on a rope only about 5 anil allows many be sampled per time. Centrifuging. however, removes 70% so that benefits gained faster sampling are countered reduction accuracy. Nevertheless, extracted centrifuging provide reliable index present, is possible make Qualitative comparisons at different times, locations, or experimental treatments.
