摘要: The coupled gas- and aqueous-phase photochemistry of a stratiform cloud in remote region the marine atmosphere is investigated with time dependent box model. Both scavenging ambient acidic aerosols gases as well chemical reactions within droplets are found to be important sources acidity water can lead pH levels cloudwater below 5.6. major via generation sulfuric acid from dissolved SO2 formic formaldehyde. In both cases free radicals play significant role either by directly oxidizing HCHO or indirectly producing oxidant H2O2. While transfer HO2 OH gas aqueous phase during daylight hours represent source cloudwater, calculations indicate that another, potentially may arise coronal discharges electrified clouds. rate conversion sensitive variety parameters including accommodation sticking coefficient for SO2, H2O2, O2, HO2, OH, droplet growth liquid content, HNO3, other basic gases. Because SO2-to-sulfuric inhibited low pH, possibility exists precipitation polluted regions will respond non-linearly reduced S emissions.
