摘要: Objective. To determine the effects of two different prosthetic feet on three-dimensional kinetic patterns both and sound limbs during unilateral trans-tibial amputee gait. Design. Eleven individuals with a amputation participated in walking sessions: once while using conventional SAFE foot, other dynamic Flex foot. Background. Despite wide variation design feet, benefits these prostheses remain unclear. Methods. During each test session, peak joint moments powers sagittal, transverse frontal planes were examined, as subjects walked at comfortable speed. Results. The majority differences that occurred due to changing foot type limited ankle variables sagittal plane greater power propulsion for compared foot. However, also found joints proximal prosthesis (e.g. knee) kinetics limb. Conclusion. allowed rely more heavily stability minimal compensations remaining joints. Relevance Determining biomechanical between may advocate use one over another. This information, when used conjunction subjective preferences, contribute higher functioning satisfaction lower limb amputation.
