Histological and morphometric evaluation of the urethra and penis in male New Zealand White rabbits.

摘要: This stereudy aimed at performing a histological and morphometric evaluation of the urethra penis male rabbits. Seven New Zealand White rabbits weighing 2.1-3 kg were used in study. The whole urethra, from urinary bladder to external urethral orifice, was dissected rabbits, tissue sliced into sections an interval 2 mm. stained with haematoxylin-eosin, Masson-Goldner trichrome stain, Van Gieson's stain Movat-Russell modified pentachrome stain. A detailed morphology morphometry performed. parameters assessed type height epithelium, thickness composition connective tissue, structure muscularis. rabbit found be similar humans. However, although have same as humans, internal corpora cavernosa, relative tunica albuginea rudimentary glands differ these animals. results present study may useful designing implants, drug testing or surgical procedures on physiological pathological urethra.
