Numerical study of urban traffic flow with dedicated bus lane and intermittent bus lane

摘要: Abstract Based on the cellular automaton traffic flow model and concept of public transport priority, a two-lane with an intermittent bus lane is proposed properties urban are studied. The cases dedicated (DBL), (IBL) ordinary simulated, comparisons in form fundamental diagrams velocity–density profiles made between them. It shown that DBL has advantage freeing buses from interference also disadvantage disrupting traffic, IBL more efficient improving than maintaining car at higher level same time DBL, while suppresses transportation not advantageous easing congestion. Also it indicated only appropriate for low system, this limitation can be partly overcome by opening to general intermittently when use buses.
