摘要: Providing appropriate health services to the elderly is emerging as one of major challenges this decade. Using theoretical framework developed by Andersen and Aday, study attempts improve our understanding those factors which inhibit or facilitate elders' use services. The data come from a 1974 statewide random probability sample 1,625 noninstitutionalized elders 65 years age older living in Massachusetts. Regression analysis used effects predisposing, enabling, need characteristics on five services: hospitals, physicians, dentists, home care, ambulatory care. model explains 5% 27% variance service utilization. Need characteristics, general, account for most explained variance.
