摘要: High rates of soil loss and high sediment loads in rivers necessitate monitoring quantification methodologies so that effective land management strategies can be designed. Construction a budget useful technique to address these issues since it provides comprehensive accounting the fluxes fate drainage basin. Sediment studies large river basins are usually hampered by inadequate data. Constructing using classical field-based techniques is too labour intensive, time-consuming expensive for poorly gauged, basins. Remote sensing has emerged as tool studying basins, combined with GIS tools identifying potential source areas quantifying their respective contributions. Such analyses, combination historic hydrological records other auxiliary data, utilized constructing budget. Following this approach, framework developed budgets prototyped on upper Indus River basin northern Pakistan
