摘要: Kinetic data on the rates of quinolinium dichromate oxidation glyoxal and glutaraldehyde are determined discussed with reference to aldehyde hydration equilibria. The effect variations in solvent composition temperature studied. is analyzed. results support a pathway via rate-determining oxidative decomposition chromate ester an hydrate. A cyclic transition state suggested; being Huckel-type system (4n + 2), this allowed process.
