摘要: Cadmium may be added to the soils through tire residues, oils, urban waste, sewage sludge and phosphated fertilizers. It is easily absorbed translocated by plants can potentially harm human health. The objectives of this work were study cadmium adsorption in surface subsurface horizons two highly weathered with different textures: Anionic "Rhodic" Acrudox (RA) "Xanthic" (XA), representing extreme conditions scale weathering exhibiting a predominant balance positive charge deeper soil layers. Results from these compared amount Cd adsorbed Rhodic Kandiudalf (RK), whose electrochemical behavior opposite, negative along profile. All collected Northern State Sao Paulo, Brazil. maximum (b) affinity constant (K) Langmuir's equation obtained pH correlated chemical, physical mineralogical attributes. revealed strong dependence, increasing pH. Surface greater amounts relation horizons, reinforcing fact that organic matter has an important role adsorption. RK cadmium, probably due net Organic carbon, cation exchange capacity, retention, specific surface, clay content, variable permanent positively K b parameters. CEC most factors controlling soils.
