摘要: The use of blood transfusion in cardiac surgery varies widely. beneficial effects products are offset by an increase morbidity and mortality. Despite multiple studies showing association between product exposure adverse short- long-term events, it is difficult to determine causality. Nevertheless, the implication sufficient warrant search for alternative strategies reduce while providing a standard care that optimizes postoperative outcomes. Aortic surgery, particular, associated with increased risk bleeding requiring transfusion. There paucity evidence within aortic regarding deleterious products. Here, we review current patient outcomes after special emphasis on surgery.
