摘要: A case of sterile exudative peritonitis beginning 20 hr. postpartum is presented. The sudden onset and rapid progression to hypovolemic shock simulated an anaphylactoid reaction, but no sensitizing agent was apparent. It assumed that this isolated hypersensitivity reaction the peritoneum, triggered by fall in circulating corticosteroids.
