摘要: Context The Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) Milestone Project mandates programmes to assess the attainment of training outcomes, including psychomotor (surgical or procedural) skills medical trainees. The objectives this study were determine which tools exist directly in trainees on live patients and identify data indicating their psychometric edumetric properties. Methods An electronic search was conducted papers published from January 1948 May 2011 using PubMed, Resource Information Center (ERIC), Cumulative Index Nursing Allied Health Literature (CINAHL) Web Science databases review references article bibliographies. A included if it described a tool instrument designed direct observation patient care settings by supervisors. Studies excluded they referred that assessed only clinical non-technical skills, involved non-medical health professionals, performed simulator. Overall, 4114 citations screened, 168 (4.1%) articles reviewed eligibility 51 (1.2%) manuscripts identified as meeting inclusion criteria. Three authors abstracted studies standardised form presence key elements per ACGME American Psychological Association (APA) recommendations, also assigned an overall grade based Committee Educational Outcome Assessment grading system. Results A total 30 identified. Conclusions Numerous available assessment trainees, but evidence supporting properties is limited.
