Urinary and plasma oxalate during ingestion of pure ascorbic acid: a re-evaluation.

摘要: Daily ingestion of 8 g pure ascorbic acid by normal subjects for 7 days did not, in contrast to previous reports the literature, significantly alter urinary or plasma oxalate during after ingestion. When urine with raised ascorbate values was heated at 100 degrees C 30 min, a significant increase concentration observed. Plasma reached mean value 3.3 mg/100 ml. Urinary citrate excretion decreased first 4 ingestion; however, inhibitory activity calcium crystal growth not altered. and serum urate as well magnesium were unaltered vitamin supplement.
