摘要: Chitosan is natural organic polyelectrolytes of high molecular weight and charge density; obtained from deacetylation chitin. This study explored the potential effectiveness applying chitosan as a primary coagulant flocculent for boron removal. A series batch coagulation flocculation processes with under different conditions, i.e. dosage, pH temperature were conducted, in order to determine optimum operating conditions The performance was accessed through total suspended solids (TSS), turbidity concentration reductions. From study, dosage recorded at 0.8 g/L 94.2%, 91% 79.7% TSS, boron, respectively. 5 removal 97.8%, 93.4% 87.5%, At 60C, reduction all parameters (i.e. concentration) highest compared other 99%, 95.3% reductions achieved respectively)
