摘要: Verticillium dahliae is a major wilt pathogen impacting cotton production in Turkey. Isolates of V. can be characterized as defoliating (D) or nondefoliating (ND) pathotypes based on symptom expression cotton. Currently there are no fungicides identified that manage this pathogen. Host resistance the most economical and environmentally friendly means to disease. Cotton genotypes, comprising main cultivars some breeding lines available Turkey, were evaluated under controlled conditions for verticillium wilt. To establish adequate expression, experiments examining isolate pathogenicity appropriate inoculum concentration carried out first. Based obtained data, 10 then inoculated with D ND by “pot immersion” method at 106 conidia/mL plants considering both internal external disease symptoms. Plants scored 0 4 scale above-ground symptoms (0 = healthy; 4 = dead plant) ca. two weeks after inoculation. Significant differences level observed among genotypes (p < 0.05). The cultivar Maydos Yerlisi had lowest wilt, mean rating 1.0. Nazilli NDT-15 strongest 3.3. These results suggest ‘Maydos Yerlisi’ used programs develop resistant varieties dahliae.
