摘要: Malnutrition has been considered the major determinant of high measles mortality. Data from a rural area Guinea-Bissau suggests that overcrowding and age may be more important as determinants than nutritional status. Case fatality rate was significantly higher in houses with several cases homes only single case. Measles vaccination contribute to increased survival rates by limiting number infections raising mean attack impeding clustering cases. 66% occured during dry season. The case (CFR) for children under 5 years 33.7% older 6.6%. highest CFR observed group 0-11 12-23 months 46.7% 52.4% respectively.
