摘要: Earth’s upper mantle, as sampled by mid-ocean ridge basalts (MORBs) at oceanic spreading centers, has developed chemical and isotopic heterogeneity over billions of years through focused melt extraction re-enrichment recycled crustal components. Chemical MORB is dwarfed the large compositional spectrum lavas convergent margins, identifying subduction zones major site for recycling into modification mantle. The fate subduction-modified mantle if this transmits chemistry remains elusive. Here, we investigate origin underneath Western Gakkel Ridge region in Arctic Ocean geochemistry tectonic plate reconstruction. We find that seafloor from mirror geochemical signatures an Early Cretaceous, paleo-subduction zone, conclude can preserve a long-lived, stationary memory past geodynamic processes.
