摘要: This paper reviews several demonstrations of millimetre-wave antennas for 60-GHz high data-rate communications and illustrates the wide variety integration technologies available depending on applications requirements: System-on-Chip enables fabrication low-cost highly-integrated single-chip radios with low-gain suitable very short-range communications; System-in-Package ceramic, silicon or BGA (Ball Grid Array) laminates offer a large choice cost-effective solutions implementation radio modules single small antenna arrays; high-directivity antennas, innovative such as flat discrete lens can be realized at moderate cost using standard printed-board technologies. Finally, this presents measurement set-up probe-fed integrated dedicated to accurate characterization quasi-omnidirectionnal antennas.
