摘要: There is a growing interest in innovation ecosystems from academia and practice. Embedding processes these comes with several opportunities managerial challenges. The aim of this paper to increase our understanding the strategies managers industrial firms use deal ecosystems. How do they align partners activities, while securing their role ecosystem? In addition, we further develop concept by embedding it broader literature on systems. We draw large set interviews Germany Netherlands. Based study, identify two layers One more open, explorative layer aimed at exploring new technologies articulating opportunities, another closed, exploitative enacting technologies. Between layers, synergies tensions exist. Companies have developed both particular related alignment strategic positioning.
