摘要: Abstract Emotional acceptance has begun to attract considerable attention from researchers and clinicians alike. It is not yet clear, however, what effects emotional on early emotion response dynamics. To address this question, participants (N = 37) were shown pictures cued either simply attend them, or accept suppress their responses. Continuous measures of experience, expressive behavior, autonomic responses obtained. Results indicated that, compared no regulation, led more positive emotions, transiently enhanced expressivity, lowered respiratory rate. Compared suppression, stronger smaller changes in heart rate, blood pressure, pulse amplitude, as well greater oxygenation.
