Carbodiimide metal complexes and four-membered metallacycles from isocyanide metal precursors and aryl azides

摘要: The reaction of C 5 H Co(CNR)(PMe 3 ) (R=CH 2 Ph, 6 11 with aryl azides ArN leads to a mixture products the carbodiimide complexes Co( κ - , N -RNCNAr)(PMe ( 4 and four-membered metallacycles Co[ -C(NR)N(Ar)C(NR)](PMe being dominating species. For R=C Ar=C an equilibrium between isomer -C(NAr)N(R)C(NR)](PMe 7 has been confirmed by NMR spectroscopy. Treatment Rh(CNMe)(PMe affords exclusively Rh( -MeNCNAr)(PMe 9 10 in good yields. Methylation CF SO Me, presence NH PF gives cyclic carbene-type derivatives 12 which first characterized X-ray crystal structure analysis.
