摘要: The new irrigated lands of Mazarron and Aguilas, south-east Spain, have led to the overexploitation local aquifers seawater intrusion, water salinization declining tables. This paper discusses a dynamic model developed analyse key socio-economic environmental factors driving whole system. New Irrigated Lands includes five sectors: Lands, Profitability, Available Space, Water Resources Pollution. simulates effects regarding consumption by reference aquifer levels, natural outflows through springs, piezometric levels salinity. exploration scenarios shows that current policies based on increase in resources do not eliminate deficit problem because feedback loops system lead further land continuation deficit. demonstrates highly counter-intuitive behaviour. article constitutes contribution analysis intensive management which is mostly lacking systemic approach.
