摘要: An anxiety reduction protocol was developed and evaluated for routine use with neurology neuropsychiatry patients undergoing brain or spinal scans. Thirty five underwent standard procedures, limited information given in advance. Twenty nine experimental received a booklet giving about the scanning procedure advice on cognitive strategies reduction, tape-recorded demonstration of scanner noise, visit to control room before entering scanner, device signal adjustment music volume, precise timings each scan, clock visible during scanning. Anxiety measured before, during, after scanning, using subjective ratings retrospective version Spielberger State Scale. There no difference between groups immediately prior scan scanner. Patients group were significantly less anxious than patients, as by mean made imaging scores completed leaving The results show that scan-related can be reduced introducing these simple changes MR minimal cost, special training staff, disruption running Unit.
