摘要: We designed simulations for the high-temperature event that occurred on 23 July 2003 in East China using a series of forecast lead times, from short-range to medium-range, and four land surface schemes (LSSs) (i.e., SLAB, NOAH, RUC, PX) Weather Research Forecasting Model (WRF), Version 3. The sensitivities short medium-range LSSs systematically varied with times. In general, model reproduced short-range, distributions. simulated weather was sensitive LSSs, LSS-induced sensitivity higher medium range than short-range. Furthermore, LSS performances were complex, i.e., PX errors apparently increased (longer 6 days), RUC produced maximum errors, SLAB NOAH had approximately equivalent slightly increased. Additional revealed WRF modeling system assigns relatively low initial soil moisture initialization plays an important role is comparable choice simulations. negative feedback between air temperature (SAT) atmospheric circulation lower atmosphere found range. These mainly caused by differences sensible heat flux associated Using SAT equation, further diagnostic analyses deficiencies simulating fluxes physical processes modify indicated main reasons these deficiencies. results have implications improvement application.
