A Reformulation of Sutherland's Differential Association Theory and a Strategy for Empirical Verification:

摘要: Relatively few of the many theories developed by sociologists have been stated in other than verbal symbols. Although supposed advantages more rigorous formalizations discussed at length, maintain that assertion mathematical model-builders their approach will actually advance thinking substantive areas sociology still remains to be demonstrated. The present paper is an attempt show some ways which this can yield new insights into old theories. First, Sutherland's widely used formulation criminology translated set theory statements.
