摘要: The global response to the increasing water scarcity in last twenty years has been policy reforms directed towards implementation of integrated resources management (IWRM). IWRM was expected promote coordinated development and water, land related order maximize resultant economic social welfare an equitable manner without compromising sustainability vital ecosystems. This paper interrogates applicability model using literature sources personal experiences with model. Literature at level on issue split between optimistic peddlers pessimists that recent have critically questioned suitability as a master prescription for varied complex river catchments catchments. traces also complexity definition limitations further demonstrates how this is unlikely work different environmental contexts. should focus addressing real problems affecting communities rather than wasting philosophical complexities
