摘要: Abstract We present an approach based on generalized linear models for analysing dominance data. First, is defined as a parameter characterizing the relationship between two individuals, determining expected number of successes first individual in disputes with other. Second, known from literature different forms transitivity are terms these parameters, and examples tests given. Third, new model developed where traits individuals involved interactions included covariates. Finally, we show how intransitive structures can be constructed by including certain interaction term trait variables, taking into account effect relatedness group. reanalyse several data sets literature, also discuss Appleby's method (1983, Anim. Behav. , 31, 600–608), which frequently used analysis
