摘要: Abstract The Abortion Act 1967 has meant that therapeutic abortion is now an accepted medical procedure in Britain. A personal series of 1000 cases described. Simple curettage was chosen 77% and hysterotomy 16%. There were few complications none serious. Details contraceptive practices available for 249 women: 48% had probably not been using any method at the time conception. some evidence more literate, middle-class woman may be a better position to get abortion. clinics within National Health Service one way getting round problems variations policy.
