摘要: Abstract Genipin-fixed kappa-carrageenan was prepared in ambient conditions aqueous solution using genipin, a naturally occurring crosslinker with (κC). The crosslinked κC showed the greatest swelling capacity acidic medium having pH 1.2 when compared to those neutral and alkaline media. Enhanced stability of product respect non-modified confirmed by degradation studies Ringer's solution, rheological thermogravimetric measurements. Genipin fixation measuring bulk density, true pore volume, porosity, intrinsic viscosity, UV absorbance optical rotation κC, as well microscopy, SEM, MS/MS studies. may be useful super absorbent sustained release formulation biomedical applications.
