Sol‐gel‐derived alumina/polyvinylpyrrolidone hybrid nanocomposite film on metal for corrosion resistance

摘要: With the addition of polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP), alumina sol with an aluminum sec-butoxide/water molar ratio 1 : 45 was synthesized. The surface tension this found to be lower by 35% than without PVP. Alumina/PVP hybrid film a critical thickness up 2 μm fabricated dip-coating method. heat treatment between 200 and 300°C could produce perfect nanocomposite structures. Alumina particles size about 20 nm were uniformly distributed in material. hardness samples increased increment temperature, values higher original metal detected after treated above 400°C. film-coated metals that below 150°C or 400°C exhibited relatively weak adhesion, but strong adhesion obtained when for 30 min. corrosion rate 200°C min 95% uncoated metal. © 2007 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
