摘要: The source model of the 2011 Tohoku earthquake, which is composed four strong motion generation areas (SMGAs), estimated based on broadband ground simulations in frequency range 0.1–10 Hz using empirical Green’s function method. Two are identified Miyagi-oki region west hypocenter. Another two located Fukushima-oki southwest motions along Pacific coast mainly controlled by these SMGAs. All exist deeper portion fault plane. stress drops SMGAs from 6.6 to 27.8 MPa, similar estimations for past M 7-class events occurring this region. Compared with slip models and aftershock distributions interplate earthquakes regions since 1930s, earthquake spatially correspond asperities 1930s. In terms motions, not only a tsunamigenic event huge coseismic near trench but also complex simultaneously rupturing pre-existing asperities.
