摘要: Future generation wireless networks are expected to support multiple access technologies, each with different bandwidth and coverage range. Two of these technologies include Universal Mobile Telecommunications System (UMTS) IEEE 802.11 Wireless Local Area Networks (WLANs). Provision real time ubiquitous communication mobile users, anywhere, anytime through heterogeneous remains a challenge. This paper proposes an end-to-end mobility management solution that enables users maintain seamless connectivity while moving across such networks. The continuous network is obtained the use devices equipped dual interfaces capability switch data transmission between depending upon availability network. We present discuss design dual-mode radio device propose simple inter-technology handoff technique. evaluate performance our proposed architecture by conducting experimental simulation tests using OPNET.
