摘要: To evaluate the effect of sexual neutering and age castration on empty body weight (EBW) components estimated nitrogen excretion efficiency, a trial was carried out 3 groups double-muscled Piemontese calves: early castrated (EC, 5th month age), late (LC, 12th age) intact males (IM, control group). Animals were fed at same energy protein level slaughtered 18th age. Live slaughtering performances EBW recorded, whereas N calculated by difference between diet gain content. In live performances, IM showed higher final, carcass total meat than EC LC (P<0.01). components, blood head (P<0.01 0.05 respectively), differences found for weights crude (BCP) but BCP/EBW ratio only in (P<0.05). Estimated daily Only (P<0.05), efficiency (P<0.05 0.01 respectively). conclusion, hypertrophied cattle significantly increases (+7%) reduces (-15%), leading to lower sustainability.
