摘要: In order to establish the electronic absorption spectra of quadri-co-ordinate, square-planar cobalt(II)-complexes, bis(salicylaldehyde)ethylenediiminato- and bis-(salicylaldehyde)propylenediiminato-cobalt(II) in solution have been determined, with utmost care taken avoid undesirable oxidation complexes. These compounds show characteristic ligand field band, a comparatively sharp peak near-infrared region. Bis(salicylaldehyde)-α-α′-dimethylethylenediiminato- bis(salicylaldehyde)-α,α′-diphenylethylenediiminato-cobalt(II) deen prepared, their examined. also bands, Bis(salicylaldoximato)- bis(salicylaldiminato)-cobalt(II) On basis results obtained above, it has concluded that these two complexes take planar configuration.
