摘要: FCO has been obtained in a CO and an Ar matrix at 4°, 14°, 20°K by the reaction with of F atoms produced upon photolysis OF2, NF2, or t‐N2F2, as well F2CO HFCO. The three vibrational fundamentals free radical appear 1855, 1018, 626 cm−1. Experiments employing 13C16O 12C18O confirm infrared identification FCO. In ultraviolet‐absorption studies on matrix‐isolated extensive series bands observed between 2200 3400 A. most prominent progression this system involves spaced approximately 650‐cm−1 intervals. It is likely that associated upper‐state bending mode (FCO)2 are also matrix, features their spectra reported. A supplementary observation spectrum gaseous shows band 1800 2100 A, spacings 1700 Presumably contributed n→π* carbonyl transition. approximate geometric structure nature chemical bonds discussed, mechanisms formation species other products considered.
